Having been abroad and living in foreign countries, I have seen and encountered the importance of safety and security. In my opinion people will only be happy and improve themselves when security is guaranteed. Furthermore, economic development can and will only take place under the precondition that the safety situation is durable and can foster growth. And when people start and continue their businesses, more people will follow their example and build a better society and communal life. For themselves and their loved ones.

About Myself
Having served as an officer of the Royal Netherlands Airforce, my career has brought me many opportunities to grow, both personally and professionally. Management functions and policy making were my bread and butter. Throughout my time in uniform education has played an important role. Either function specific or general. Highlights are the Middle Management Course, Higher Staff College and undoubtedly thé high point: the Senior Course at the Nato Defence College in Rome (SC125). The topics I currently tackle are unmanned systems and (their) Artificial Intelligence, Defence Planning, Hypersonics and the Military Use of Space.
Projects
In my work, I have published on a wide portfolio of subjects and have participated in quite a few podcasts. Also presentations on subjects such as the militarisation of space and unmanned vehicles have been conducted. On my 'Projects' page an overview of (a part of) my 'exposure' can be found.
